Safer Spaces Statement

It is really important to us that our community members feel as safe as possible at our events and in the spaces that we support. As an organization, East Rock House does not and will not tolerate rape, sexual assault, any other form of violence, sexual harassment, creepy, predatory and/or sleazy behavior, racism, ageism, sexism, misogyny, homophobia, queerphobia, transphobia, transmisogyny, whorephobia, ableism, classism, sizeism, sex-negativity, cultural appropriation, or any other behavior or language that may perpetuate oppression.

We may not always be aware of when these behaviors are being perpetuated, and invite community members to contact us with information they have that can help us create safer spaces.

This could include:

  • If someone who has abused, assaulted, harassed you or otherwise caused you personal harm is an organizer, artist, musician, or vendor at our events.

  • If anyone at one of our events has made you feel unsafe for any reason.

  • If you witnessed an interaction or microaggression at one of our events that you would like to bring to our attention.

Please use the contact box below to let us know about your concerns with your contact information or anonymously. You can also email eastrockhousenh@gmail.com or direct message @eastrockhouse on Instagram.
